Anyone who had the absolute pleasure to have worked with Estela Escalante, retired Legal Services Manager, grieve her passing.
Estela started in the DA’s office literally as a teen in a student intern program; and she worked her way up to Legal Services Manager. She was a career employee when she retired about 5 years ago. She worked for many, many years in Extradictions, and assisted and/or trained a number of Division Chiefs, including myself from Jan. 2007- July 2012.
Estela was the ultimate professional. She was hardworking, smart, always with a smile and an amazing attitude. She cared deeply for the DA’s office and for justice. She was the ultimate team player for the well oiled, tight extradition team. Estela will truly be forever in our hearts.
I had planned to attend today’s services, but unfortunately a cold virus prevents my attendance. I am with you all in spirit to honor Estela and I share in your grief. Prayers and condolences to her family and to all who loved Estela. Take great care, Terri Wyatt
