With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Maria Elena Jimenez, who entered eternal rest on July 24, 2026, in Chula Vista, California, at the age of 84.
Maria was born on July 20, 1942, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Lina Hernandez and Victor Magdaleno, both natives of Guanajuato. She was raised with strong family values, faith, perseverance, and a generous spirit that she carried throughout her life.
Maria was the beloved wife of Jorge G. Jimenez, with whom she shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful family. Together they created a home centered on love, dedication, and unwavering support for their children.
A talented cake decorator by trade, Maria possessed a remarkable artistic touch and took great pride in bringing joy to others through her work. Whether celebrating milestones, birthdays, or family gatherings, her creativity and attention to detail made every occasion special.
Above all, Maria's greatest pride and accomplishment was her family. She lovingly raised seven children: William Jimenez, Diana Estrella, Laura Yutus, Jorge Jimenez, Norma Jimenez, Erik Jimenez, and Lina Jimenez. She was a devoted mother whose love, guidance, and sacrifices shaped the lives of her children and generations to follow.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jorge G. Jimenez; her siblings, Soledad Garcia Magdaleno, Maria Luisa Gonzales Magdaleno, and Antonio Magdaleno; her brother-in-law, Manuel Carrillo; and her sister-in-law, Angela Magdaleno.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings: Maria Trinidad Carrillo, Rafael Magdaleno, Ruben Magdaleno, Javier Magdaleno, and Porfirio Magdaleno. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Cesar, Roberto, Jackie, Isabelle, Ryan, Nicholas, Diego, Ruben, Lilliana, Catalina, and Ezra, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love.
Maria will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled, the traditions she shared, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love remains forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Services for Maria Elena Jimenez will be entrusted to Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary.
