Maria Landeros Osborn's Obituary
Maria L. Osborn…Maria L. Osborn. Courageous matriarch. Heart of the family. Strong in her faith, she possessed a rare nurturing, and kind hearted spirit. These words describe our amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cared deeply, and always made sure each of her “hijas” and “hijos” were well cared for, fed and clothed. Born on August 15, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas and left her body on September 26, 2016 in Escondido, California. To those who knew her, Maria was very committed to her faith and her family. She spent many years as a homemaker. During her working career she spent the vast majority of her nursing profession at College Park Hospital in San Diego. After which, she enjoyed a career as a private duty nurse until 2004. Maria was preceded in death by her late husband Charles W. Osborn, but is survived by her five children, Victor Marquez, Marie Sorby, Robert Marquez, Christina Moore, and Roberta Marquez. She is also the pride of her nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, and two grandcats (her little buddies) An amazing lady, who led by example and the laid the foundation of our family. She was our heart, and will be greatly missed. The world was truly blessed to have her in it.
