María Elena Richards, was born on December 18, 1952 in La Piedad, Michoacán MX. She passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2022 with her husband, John Richards and adult children, Candy Munoz, Freddy Richards, Erik Richards and Wendy Richards, by her side.
María Elena was a tenacious and strong willed woman who worked very hard to make a life for herself and family after emigrating to the United States at the age of nineteen
María Elena was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister to the numerous family members that she leaves behind.
María Elena emphasized the importance of family and always ensured her presence left a loving mark. She especially enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and prioritized spending time together outdoors and by the ocean.
Among this, she was also a wonderful and spirited friend and confidant to the countless individuals who were blessed enough to know her.
María Elena was always eager to serve those in need and never asked for anything in return. She was a great source of support during any hardship.
María Elena was known best for her love of adventure and she shared this interest for traveling with her late son, Johnny Richards. Our family finds closure in knowing that our mother is now reunited with our brother, embarking on their next adventure in the sky. Traveling companions once again.
María Elena touched the lives of many and her energetic personality will never be forgotten.
