Maria Ascencion Shields' Obituary
Maria Ascencion Shields was born in Nayarit, Mexico on May 12th, 1929 to her proud parents, Florentino Carrillo and Hilaria Ortiz. Maria spent the best years of her life in San Diego county raising her four children; Lily, Tony, Victor, and Alicia. With a passion for service and the lord, Maria became a nurse and was deeply involved in her church, Harvest Time Assembly of God. On March 28, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family, Maria left her body to achieve eternal peace and light with her lord. Maria is survived by two brothers, two sisters, her four children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and Hilaria, and her brother Ignacio.
