Maria Dolores Vasquez's Obituary
Maria Dolores Vasquez made her grand entrance on February 2, 1929 and she entered into eternal peace on April 19, 2016.Maria Dolores, was not your typical woman, mother, grandmother, oh no! She was far from typical. She knew how to live life and life she lived! She was the matriarch of matriarchs and no one can compare. No one would dare! To make you feel better, she didn’t give out warm cookies or tucked you into bed at night; instead, she handed you a shot of tequila and told you to MAN UP and would stay up all night! Without a doubt, she wasn’t warm and fuzzy but she had a heart of gold and would always be by your side. If you had a chance to listen as she reminisced about one of her many crazy fun stories, it was guaranteed you would laugh, cry, and laugh some more and even wonder….did that really happen? She was indeed unique, a gem, a treasure. All the wonders of the world placed within one woman. It’s no wonder, God called her home.Dolores lived a life filled with heartaches and blessings, laughter and tears, and yes, some things may have been broken along the way, but somehow she managed to always piece things back together. Dolores was independent and strong and always knew how to continue on. She raised her children to do the same. She was tough, some would even say harsh at times, but she always knew what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. And, don’t you dare challenge her because as much as you tried, she was alwaysright. Her life was far from easy, but then again, anything worth fighting for is never easy…and she fought hard, especially for her family. Now she is at peace and no longer needs to fight. She is free from all of pain and all sorrow is out of sight. In life, God beganto heal her heart and prepared her for her grand arrival- Home at last!! Heaven is more beautiful now- Dolores is there. While you’re physically gone, we will not say, Goodbye because we know you will always be with us. Give us your blessing and pray for us from heaven as you did hear on earth. You have without a doubt earned your place there, now we ask that you reserve a space for each of us, for when it is our time to meet you once again.Dolores, will be missed, loved, and always remembered. We do not think of her as dead, as someone only dies when we stop remembering them and we will ensure that her story and memories continue. Her spirit will live in all of her children, grandchildren, great-children, and even great-great-grandchildren. Dolores is a woman who leaves behind a grand legacy.Ãngel de mi guarda dulce compañÃa no me desampares ni de noche ni de dÃa. No me dejes sólo que me perderÃa.Maria Dolores is survived by 7 siblings, 13 children, and an abundance of grand children, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
