Marilyn Gene Maus' Obituary
Marilyn was born in San Diego, California on January 26, 1934. And she died on May 5, 2015 at the age of 81. She was an only child to her parents, George Maus and Mildred (Viora, Maus) Plummer of Louisiana. Growing up in San Diego, Marilyn, often referred to as Gene, attended Point Loma High School and the University of San Diego. She lived for several years in Prescott, Arizona then returned to La Mesa where she lived with her mother. She worked for a San Diego Title company for several years where she made many enduring friendships with coworkers. She also gave piano lessons to many young aspiring musicians for over the years. She deeply loved nature and animals of every kind and a developed tremendous respect and appreciation for the Native Americans and their rich and varying cultures.The family will schedule a private memorial service. Her ashes shall be returned to nature on family owned land close to the Ewiiaapaayp Reservation on the East side of Mount Laguna.
