MARION DELORIS CUNNINGHAM, 71 of San Diego, CA was born December 1, 1946. It was a special day in Portsmouth, Virginia. On this day a baby girl was born to the late William H. Newbern Sr. and Marion C. Newbern (Hardy). She was the joy of her parents life. Marion was the 2nd oldest of 13 children and deeply loved by her siblings. People that were close to her would refer to her as Deloris.Marion enjoyed life! She loved to have a good time with family and friends, listening to great music and cooking wonderful food. Her children were the joy of her heart. She joined a softball league in Japan, she use to sing and model. Deloris worked at UCSD for over ten years. She would also spend her time when she was younger selling Avon door to door.Deloris is preceeded in death by her sister Sandra Coleman, Lydia Oliver and Timothy Newbern. Those left to cherish her memory include her children Aaron Terry Washington Jr., Tracy Renee Green, David Oliver Cunningham and her brothers: William H. Newbern Jr., Bobby Newbern, Richard Newbern, James Newbern and Michael Newbern and sisters: Linda Proctor, Patricia Jones, Mary Cooper and Sherarn Newbern, as well as her grandchildren Martin L. McAllister Jr., Nishiki Washington, Asuka Washington, Kisara Washington, Elijah Washington, Maurine Moeai Cunningham, Olivia Cunningham, Titus J. Cunningham and great-grandchildren Amara McAllister and Ayana McAllister.
