Marjorie became a member of our family. She worked for a chiropractor back in the 80’s which is where Genko met her when he began working at the same office. She was present a few minutes after our son, Yasu, was born (a home birth). She worked in our chiropractic office several days a week so that i could be at home with our son. But more than all these things, she was a mentor, a friend, a confident, a spirit support system to me and to so many others. In 1997, we moved from San Diego, which ended our pot luck dinners and our frequent visits with Marjorie and Albert. But we never lost touch no matter how far we roamed. Once during a visit to San Diego we visited their lovely home; both Albert and Marjorie in hospital beds in the same room. During her stay in the Escondido, I called at least every 3-4 weeks and she was always so delighted to talk to me. She remained a spiritual advisor right to the end.
