Mark Keenan's Obituary
Mark Keenan was brought into this world on April 16, 1973 in Melbourne, Australia to parents Robert Lynton Keenan and Julie Rose.
In June of 1987, when Mark was just 14 years of age, he moved to San Diego, California, where he attended National City Middle School and then went on to attend Sweetwater High School.
Mark had an amazing work ethic. At the young age of 15, he worked as a warehouseman for Chipwich. Within three years he was promoted to manager. Not long after his promotion, Mark was asked to manage the entire storage facility.
In 1993, at the age of 19, he moved to Iowa Falls where he completed his GED and then one year of college.
He moved back to San Diego in 1994 to care for his girlfriends mother who was suffering from cancer. After that, he joined the transport team for the San Diego County Medical Examiner. Later, in 2004, he began working at Greenwood Memorial Park as a Crematory Operator. Not long after, Mark was promoted to Crematory Manager. Mark was very skilled and talented. He assisted in many renovations throughout Greenwoods mortuary, chapels and cemetery. In 2019, Mark concluded his career with Greenwood as Assistant Superintendent/Housekeeping Manager and went on to pursue future endeavors in the construction field.
On April 4, 2020, loving son, brother and friend Mark, passed away at his home in Julian, California at the age of 47.
Mark leaves to treasure his memory, parents Robert and Julie, brother Kareem Khaled Khattab, sister Deanna Khattab, most cherished friend Melody Mitzy Arin, 2 dogs Wolfie and Violet as well as a host of many friends and co-workers.
