Martin Vincent Eis, beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, greatgrandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on
April 10, 2026, in Maricopa, AZ, at the age of 100. Marty, known for his quick wit and warm heart, was born on August 5, 1925 in San Diego, CA, and lived a long, full life filled with laughter, good food, great drinks, and endless love.
A graduate of Hoover High School, Marty proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. After his service, he pursued a career as a meatcutter and dedicated union man with the California United Food & Commercial Workers Union. His passion for advocating for workers' rights led him to serve as the union's Vice President. Marty was known for his generous spirit and donated a remarkable 24 gallons of blood, likely saving countless lives. He found great joy in volunteering at Sharp Rees Steely hospital and with the California Highway Patrol, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need up until he physically could not any longer.
Martin is survived by his stepdaughter LaDonna, stepson David, grandson Nicholas, granddaughter Ashley, great grandson Liam, daughter-in-law Judy, nephews Raymond and Bradley, nieces Allison and Emilie, and cousin Gay and her son, Breehn. Marty was preceeded in death by his wife Jean and his brother Gordon. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
