Mary Ruth Dean Born: January 26 1931 Died: January 23 2015 Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.Survived by her 4 children: Sons; James D, Jimmy R, Bobby J, and Daughter; Penny M, 10 Grand kids and 11 Great Grand kids. She was born in rural Mississippi to JD Smith and Virgie Butts. Mary was raised on a farm in Little Rock, Mississippi along with 8 siblings. She attended Beulah Hubbard School from K-12. After, she attended nursing school, before settling on a career in retail marketing where she spent many years before going to work in the travel industry. She married the love of her life, James N. Dean, in 1949. Mary loved to travel the world with her husband and family. She was involved with the Eastern Star supporting her community. She was intensely loyal to her family. Mary worked extremely hard to achieve her success while prioritizing family above all; always sacrificing for family, making sure they came before her. She was mentally strong, and if she wanted it enough, she got it. She passed peacefully in her home in San Diego, surrounded by her family.
