Mary Louise Morrison's Obituary
Life Reflections Mary Louise Morrison was born on September 13, 1930 in Prescott Arkansas. She was the eldest child of George and Lois Robinson. Growing up in Arkansas she was fondly called by her middle name “Louise”. She loved spending time in the country with her grandparents and being protector of baby brother “Pete”. She began her formal education in Prescott then moved to San Diego, CA with her father and brother, Floyd (Pete). Louise graduated from San Diego High School, class of 1948. She met and married Walter Johnson in 1950. This union was blessed with her eldest children, Ronald Lee Johnson and Joan Etta Player-Johnson. She gave love a second chance and married Fred Morrison Sr. on March 23, 1962. Fred Sr. and Louise built a life together. Their family continued to grow with three more beautiful children, Freddie Lynn, Fred Jr. and Melissa. Fred Sr. preceded her in death. They were married for 41 years. Louise spent many years as a homemaker, then returned to the workforce once all her children had entered school. She worked for a number of years as a Food Service worker at Baker Elementary then went on to work for Mervyn’s Department store where she retired in 1997. She was very active in her children’s school and in the community. She worked on the PTA and as class “Room Mother” helping students and teachers with class projects, parties and school wide events. She was Den Mother for her son’s Cub Scout troop helping young men to build confidence, character and leadership skills. She also, helped to assure that her neighbors and community exercised their political views by being an Election Official and regularly hosted the voting polls at her residence. She was very supportive of her children and quick to help others. In her spare time Louise loved early mornings on the lake fishing with her husband and kids. She also relaxed by doing ceramics and was a casino enthusiast. On Thursday, December 13, 2018 Louise slipped away peacefully at home. She was a good wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dependable, thoughtful, understanding, opinionated and funny. She will be loved and greatly missed by her family and friends. Louise was preceded in death by: Her loving husband Fred Morrison Sr., Her parents George and Lois Robinson, step-mother Elvina Robinson, and brother Charles Jenkins She is survived by her children Ronald Lee Johnson, Joan Etta Player-Johnson, Freddie Lynn Morrison, Fred Morrison Jr. and Melissa Louise Morrison; Her brother Floyd Robinson (Sandra); Grand children, Leilani, Victor-John, Nikholas, Mikhael, Christopher and Brian; A host of great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.
