Mary Ella Walker's Obituary
Mary Ella Walker passed away on Nov. 20th, 2022 at the age of 95. She grew up in the small town of Hazel Hurst, Pa, and was one of 11 siblings. Mary graduated as valedictorian of her senior class and went on to nurse training in Buffalo, New York. She met the love of her life and married Richard Walker in July 1946 in San Diego, CA. They had three children, a daughter Kathy Lam and two sons, Ronald Walker, and James Walker. Mary and Dick had five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years in 2017.
Through the years Mary enjoyed being a member of the Tops Club and became a guest speaker for their International Conference in Hawaii. She loved playing golf, bowling, and doing crossword puzzles, taking lots of pictures and making family albums. She and Dick traveled the country making many trips to visit her family and friends back east. Mary will be buried alongside her husband at Greenwood Cemetery in San Diego on January 12, 2023.
She will be missed by all.
