Medoline J. Davis' Obituary
On January 21, 1921, Medoline was born to Hosie Jackson and Lillie Waddell Jackson, in Ashdown, Arkansas. The eldest daughter of several siblings. She completed her education and worked locally before moving to Geary, Indiana. Medoline then traveled to Seattle, Washington and ultimately settling in San Diego, CA. There, she met and married the love of her life, Albert Davis. She often stated “they don’t make them like him anymore.” Medoline was preceded in death by her beloved Albert, stepson: Albert Jr., parents, four brothers and two sisters.Medoline worked for the General Dynamics Corporation for over 43 years until her retirement in 1995.After retirement, Medoline enjoyed annual trips to Ashdown for family reunions, daily walks with long-time neighbors, monthly lunch dates with other retirees, and spending her holidays with family and friends.Medoline leaves to cherish memories her beloved brothers and sisters-in-laws: Chuck and Jeanette Jackson, Lee and Sandra O’Guinn, Clyde and Ella Mae O’Guinn; sister: Lillie Mae Ricks and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Longfellow Room of Greenwood Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Mount Hope Cemetery.
