Michael it is still hard for me to believe you are no longer here physically. I am so glad you met and married my big sister. You were more like a brother to me than a brother in law. I
I don’t remember a time when you weren’t in my life, because you were in it since I was 3.
You were always so loving toward me. How many men allow a woman to bring her baby sister along on a drive-in movie date? You joked with me many times and said “you were always standing between us on the front seat, I should have slammed in the brakes”. When you married Eleanor I was the flower girl. I was only 5 so I didn’t understand that you were marrying her and thought you were taking her away from me. So the joke for 54 years was how I made a spectacle of myself at the wedding. So what did you do? You allowed the little brothers and sisters on both sides to stay with the two of you during what should have been your honeymoon.
You took me to play in the snow when I was little. You wallpapered my wall when I asked as a teenager, and you bought my first maternity dress.
You were the best father to Tony!! I’m sure he was one of the first to get you acquainted with things in Heaven. I know my parents are happy to see you too. I remember how I had to console you 4 years ago when Mom left us. I’m sure you are welcoming the new beautiful souls, because that’s what you do.
You didn’t take my sister, you walked along side of her into a beautiful marriage and love story.
Like I told you just before you left us, we’ve got Eleanor now and we promise to never let her go. I love you my sweet, sweet brother in-love❤️
