Miguel Angel Amaraut's Obituary
Miguel Angel Amaraut was born December 6, 1958 in Guadalajara, Mexico to parents Jesus Ramirez Acuna and Maria de Jesus Gonzalez. He came to San Diego in 1975 and quickly established employment as a chef, gaining wide recognition as exceptional in his field and enjoyed his career until failing health caused him to retire. He passed peacefully at his home on August 11, 2020.
Private family viewing was held Saturday, August twenty-ninth at Greenwood Mortuary. Cremation is planned with inurnment to take place at Panteon Municipal located in Centro Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico.
His surviving son Illimani Amaraut, also of San Diego, follows in Miguel Angel’s footsteps as he begins his own career as a chef.
