Miguel Angel Durazo Jr's Obituary
Miguel Angel Durazo Jr., beloved brother, friend, and cherished member of our community, passed away on May 31, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories. He was 42, at the time of his passing.
Miguel was born on August 3, 1981, in Los Angeles, and the third child of Aurora Durazo. From the very beginning, he brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. His infectious smile could light up any room, and his compassionate heart touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Throughout his life, Miguel would always offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it, share stories that would make us laugh and brighten our days. He always went above and beyond to make others feel valued and supported.
Miguel was also dedicated to learning something new and being the best at it. From learning Russian, making soaps with only natural ingredients, learning everything about coffee, to someday opening a coffee shop, working in a circus, and so many other things that allowed for him to live a life full of yeses. His last adventure was getting certified as a Yoga Instructor, which allowed him to teach Yoga in group and individual settings.
Beyond his many accomplishments, Miguel's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends. He cherished every moment spent in their company, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to countless gatherings and celebrations. His nephews and nieces will share stories of their uncle Miguel (Tierra Gogue-Garcia, Sienna Gogue-Garcia, Tiffany Androl, Antonio Cordova and Tyler Androl), with their partners and children.
Miguel will be deeply missed by his brother, Augusto Ruben Garcia Jr. (Eileen Gogue-Garcia), his sisters, Edith Androl (Jayson Androl), and Nancy Durazo Ruvalcaba (Luis Ruvalcaba), the many surviving cousins, aunts and uncles, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. In our hearts, he will forever remain a beacon of love, laughter, and kindness. We know that he is celebrating his life with his mother, Aurora Durazo, his grandmother and grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew, who preceded him in death.
A celebration of Miguel's life will be held on June 29, 2024, with viewing hours from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and church services following at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92113. Burial services will be the following morning, June 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary, 4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego, CA 92113.
