Mitchell E. Sullivan's Obituary
Mitchell Edward Sullivan passed away at the age of 93 years, 11 months, and 18 days on October 8th, 2018 in El Cajon, California. Mitchell was born on October 20th, 1924 in Pennsylvania. He spent most of his working years as a Civil Engineer in the Ship Building industry. He is survived by his nephew, Phil Holt. Mitch’s wife, Alberta Sullivan, predeceased him on April 7th, 2018. You would hear his life’s story, if you just crossed his path! Phil and Gloria Holt, his beloved, nephew and niece, Took him home to PA, to visit and feel peaceThe greatest treasure of his whole life was Ruthie, his partner AND adored wifeFirst and foremost, in their 75-years Was their dedication to God, before their careers They served God on missions, near and far, On planes and boats, and sometimes by car.As a member of The GREATEST GENERATION, A World War II Vet, Mitch served well, his nation.He loved his church, and spent years as a Deacon The WORD OF GOD, was his REAL BEACONLife brought sorrow, when they lost their son “Edward” had been, their only one. This shock did bring them, such heartache But Ruthie kept strong, for Mitch’s sake.He lost his girl, in April this year, And his desire to see her, he made very clear!The last seven-months, his loneliness grew Tracy and Patria were his caring crew.On October the 8th, he went home to greet His Ruthie, they met at our LORD Jesus’ feet.He’ll now have an audience forevermore And be sure he’ll tell stories On God’s Golden Shore.We loved you, Dear Man, for all of your years But you’re happy and healthy, for us No more tears.
