Mohamed-Seif Azzazi's Obituary
With heavy hearts but grateful spirits, we invite you to join us in celebrating the life of our beloved Mohamed-Seif Azzazi. He was a loving father, an adored grandfather, a proud new great-grandfather, a cherished friend, and a guiding light to all who knew him. Though we grieve his passing, we also honor the love, wisdom, and joy he shared so generously.
Mohamed-Seif was born on January 9, 1942, in Alexandria, Egypt, to Freig Bayoumi Azzazi and Souraya Mostafa Ghaleb. He had two younger siblings, Shadia and Nabeil. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Alexandria University, specializing in Chemistry, Geology, and the Analysis of Raw Materials, and later pursued further studies in both Russia and the United States.
He was married to Nagwa Abu-Shama for approximately 35 years, and together they raised three children: Tamer, Rania, and Kareem. In 1978, he moved his family to the United States, beginning in Staten Island, New York, and eventually settling in Woodbury, Minnesota.
Mohamed-Seif was the proud grandfather of Yasmine, Leano, Tony, and Zahra, and recently became a great-grandfather to little Leano “Jace.” His love, support, and devotion to his family and friends were apparent to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Later in life, he relocated to San Diego, California, to be closer to his daughter, the ocean, and the beautiful weather he loved. There, he found joy and purpose in volunteering with Serving Seniors, attending aqua aerobics classes, engaging in civic activities at the senior center, participating in Hui O Hawaii events, and joining Friday prayers at the local mosque.
A truly social and vibrant soul, Mohamed-Seif lived a life full of connection, kindness, and community. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
