Monique Shan'te Perry's Obituary
Monique Shaun’te Perry was born October 5, 1981 to Joyce Jones and David Fain. She was a very vibrant and playful child. She loved dolls and combing their hair. Just like her mom, Monique enjoyed playing school teacher with her dolls as the students. Monique’s love for dolls inspired her to want to be a mommy. Monique had a caring spirit. Her love for people motivated her to become a caregiver. Monique’s contagious smile and laughter could light up any room she entered into. All who knew her, both family and friends, were blessed by her positive energy.
Monique was a Facebook social butterfly. Monique has over 3,000 friends on Facebook. So many people loved receiving spiritual encouragement from her postings about faith and God’s grace. She used social media to evangelize for Jesus Christ however she was also a foot soldier. She was always inviting friends and strangers to church. She was a vibrant member of her home church.
Monique, affectionately known as Mo, loved to eat. Her favorite Mexican food was carne asada burritos which she enjoyed eating during each of her pregnancies. Monique had a sense of humor. She loved to impersonate people for laughter. One of her favorite past times was going to the casino. Her talents included making jewelry and styling hair. She also enjoyed assisting with the care package ministry, singing and directing the youth choir at her church – Military Outreach Ministries International Church. She is quoted as singing, “As good as God has been to me, I must give Him the highest praise”.
Monique is the loving mother of 8 children; 6 girls and 2 boys. Each of her children uniquely resemble her look, spirit, and personality. Her heart’s desire was to be reunited with all of her children and see them grow up and live happy, healthy and successful lives.
On July 17, 2020 Monique gained her heavenly wings. She is now resting in the arms of God and absent from pain and suffering. Preceding her in death is her loving grandmother, two grandfathers, and a great grandmother. Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Joyce Eley and step dad (Pastor Eley); her precious daughters, Chey’vare, Chantel, CheyNell, Serena, Sade, and Aaliyah; and adoring sons Cleo and Alexander. In addition, her brothers Jamal Tyler and Charles Morgan, their families and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Gone too soon – the memory of a beautiful beam of light will remain in our hearts.
