Much Chham's Obituary
Ms. Much Chham passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on April 25th, 2018 in San Diego. She was born on July 5th, 1923 in Kingdom of Cambodia, city of Pumthort, Koum Surn Battambang Province. Her parents are Chham and Phil Sim. She has total of 12 children, 6 son & 6 daughters. She was an amazing farmer and homemaker until the Khmer Rouge took control from 1975-79, which caused the death of millions of people. She tragically lost her husband and 6 children during the hostile communist government at that time. Poverty was widespread and life became hard throughout this crisis time, and yet her surviving family escaped Cambodian soon after to Khao-I-Dang and Sa Kaeo Refugee Camp in 1979. This was the first organized refugee relief camp established on the Thai-Cambodian border in Thailand. Ms. Chham accepted Jesus Christ approximately in 1982.She has arrived in United State of America on December 13th, 1985 and continued to live her life as a homemaker and raised her 6 surviving children. She is survived by 24 grandchildren and 53 grand-grandchildren. She loved going to church, sewing and knitting, gardening and cooking. She lived her life in San Diego County for over thirty years.
