BRANDT, Myra M.'s Obituary
On 8/1/25, at age 95, Myra Brandt of San Diego County, passed away peacefully under hospice care, with her sister and daughter present. Myra is survived by her youngest sister, Catherine Smith (Paul), daughter, Shannon (Stuart) Rowson, 5 grandkids: Laurie Williams (Leon), Nicole Turner (Brian), James Brandt (Catrina), Michelle Brandt and Peter Rowson; 9 great grandkids, 2 great great grandkids, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Loren Brandt; her 3 sons- Terry, George and Kevin, daughter-in-law Shirley, and Myra’s five other siblings, mother and father.
Myra Brandt was a Marine wife, a federal civil servant for 32 years, and worked for San Diego County at HHS and Purchasing and Contracts for 10 years. She earned her JD in law while working. Most importantly, Myra was a woman of great faith in God, who humbly lived her life with integrity, creativity, compassion and intelligence.
Together with her husband she traveled around the United States and Internationally via trains, cars, river boats and cruises. Her travels included Japan, China, Europe, South America, Alaska and the South Pacific. Along the way she collected beautiful jewelry and colorful clothing that mirrored her vibrant and adventurous spirit.
A memorial service will be held Oct 11th at 11 AM at Christ Presbyterian Church of La Costa. Entombment is at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego.
A contribution to San Diego Zoological Society or Hospice of the North Coast would honor Myra’s memory.
