Reading about Nada's death in the Alpha Chi Omega magazine, "The Lyre," both saddened and moved me to write you, her family. Nada and I were sorority sisters and dear friends while attending UNM. We spent many late nights studying together, laughed and played together. We stayed in touch after graduating and my husband and family visited Nada and Jim and you children when we were vacationing once in San Diego. It was soon after that, finding our children of similar ages and compatible, Jim Jr. and Anita came to New Mexico to stay with our family for a few days. Do you remember hiking in the Sandia Mountains with us? After that, our son, Paul, and daughter, Sarah, visited your family in San Diego. I remember the highlight of that trip for Paul was attending an outdoor presentation of Shakespeare's "Midsummer's Night Dream." (I believe that was the production.)
We stayed in touch throughout the years since, mainly at Christmas time. So many memories with Nada have flooded my mind since reading of her passing. She was a good friend and a beautiful woman. I miss her.
God bless you all,
