Nicholas James Kromydas' Obituary
Nicholas James Kromydas passed away October 16, 2025, at home with his family.
He was a ’68 graduate of Hilltop High School before going on to graduate from Cal Poly Pomona in ’74 with a degree in Architecture.
After traveling the world, he settled into the Lake Tahoe area. In 1978, he married and shortly after received his Architect’s license. For many years, while raising his family, Nick had a successful practice in the Tahoe Truckee area. He was very talented with award winning projects across the country.
During his time in Tahoe, he was appointed to the Meeks Bay Fire Board serving as commissioner for more than three decades.
Upon retirement, he returned to San Diego and further south to his beloved Mulege in Baja. He completed his house and enjoyed his time fishing and exploring the Sea of Cortez.
Nick was not only hard working, but he was a loving, devoted father who spent his time, sharing fun adventures and travel with his family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kristin, brother, Stanley, and parents, Nickolas and Deana Kromydas.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Teresa Bohart, two daughters, Korinne and Katharine, who loved him immensely.
