Ninfa Harper's Obituary
Ninfa Smith Harper (known as Pee-Wee) at work was born on June 4, 1926 in San Diego, CA to John Bautista and Mercedes Aripez Smith. She passed away on Thursday August 25, 2022.
She grew up in La Mesa, CA and was the oldest child over-seeing Sisters Frances and Jo Ann and Brothers John and Jerry.
She married William Boyd Harper and celebrated 50 years together raising their 3 children: Linda Rose, Steven Leroy, and Lolita Margaret.
With great enthusiasm, excitement, and unconditional love, she so enjoyed her time spent with her 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
In her teenage years she worked as a soda-jerk and a waitress at a snack shop in the small town of La Mesa, CA. During her married years, she learned the creative skill of welding for Ryan Aeronautics, S.D., and later at Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado, S.D. where she retired after many years. She was part of the team that built jets for our country’s needs during WWII and after.
She lived a very fulfilling life and loved it to the fullest with laughter, positive vibes, and a very open mind with her family and many friends.
Ninfa Smith Harper will be greatly missed by all who were intertwined with her Spirit and can raise a glass of “Millers Light” to her anytime!
