Nora Preston had a special place in my father's heart, Robert Melvin Cowherd. He told me on more than one occasion that she would take him by the hand when he was a young boy and include him in her activities. Over the years, Nora and George would get together with my parents for lunch or other family get togethers. George and Nora were always welcome to the Thursday lunch gatherings that my dad organized for family and friends. I will always remember when they came to Thanksgiving dinner at my apartment in Chula Vista. It was a memorable and enjoyable day. I spent many holidays in their home and with their family members. I will always carry these memories in my heart! My prayers are with the Preston family.
