Norma Jean Howse's Obituary
Norma Jean Howse born on June 16, 1931, in New Jersey to parents John Kisely and Katherine Cuvala entered into rest on December 16, 2022 in San Diego. A resident of San Diego for over 73 years. A respected and loving daughter, sister, friend, aunt, wife, mother, teacher and grandmother. She and her first husband of over 50 years, William Howse, raised a family of three daughters; Linda Howse, Martha Howse, Susan Howse and one son, Bill Howse. After their youngest child began first grade she earned a Bachelors degree and then a Masters degree, both in Education. She worked as a math and science teacher for over 25 years before retiring. Bill Howse passed in the year 2000. Norma then met Jim Sturgeon and they traveled for several years to paces like Sedona, June Lake, and spent a lot of time with her now very large family. After Jim’s passing Norma then met and married her love, Dr. Stan Whitney, a retired marriage and family therapist. They enjoyed more than ten blissful Years together by spending time with the grandchildren, traveling to other states and Mexico, volunteering their time and resources to their church as well as numerous other Christian ministries. Norma Jean Howse-Whitney was also honored to have been able to share her life with all those that loved and cared for her. It is evident that she will forever be missed yet never forgotten. May she rest in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ whom she faithfully loved and served!
