Olivia Mary Orband's Obituary
Olivia Mary Orband, beloved wife of the late Henry Orband, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Sunday November 22, 2015 at the age of 76. She was surrounded by her family and friends.Oliva was born July 19, 1939 in Berwick, Pennsylvania to William and Elizabeth Greenaway. She attended Bloomsburg State University where she met the one love of her life, Henry, who she was married to for 43 years until his untimely death in 2003. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University while enjoying the career of a schoolteacher in Vermilion, Ohio. She retired in 1990 after 30 years of teaching. She raised her loving family in Ohio, and then retired to San Diego, California.“Liv” was many things to many people. She was a mentor, a teacher, a friend, mother, wife, aunt, daughter and sister; but most importantly a “Nana”. Her main joy in life was spending time with her grandson, Dominic. Dominic was the ray of sunshine that filled her heart with love. They shared a very special bond that will never be broken or forgotten. She also enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and reading. Her favorite music was from the 1940’s and 50’s.Olivia is survived by her children, Henry Jay Orband of Alpine, CA and Leah Davidson (Dave) of Dublin, OH; her grandson, Dominic Davidson; her sister, Cecelia Davis; brother-in-law James Davis; her nieces, Danica Davis and Cori Bullard, and her nephew, Ashley Davis. She also leaves behind numerous close friends and neighbors. Live will be sadly missed by all.Viewing Services will be held at Greenwood Mortuary’s Salli Lynn Chapel at 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday the 28th of November 2015. To all who would like to light up Liv’s service, please wear a little “bling” to help celebrate her life.
