Oscar Suisheng Ho's Obituary
Oscar Ho passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 3rd, 2023 in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 29. Oscar was born on April 1st, 1994 in San Diego, CA and grew up in La Mesa, CA. He was the youngest of 2 children. He attended UC Riverside and earned a B.A. in Cinematography and Film/Video Production. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and began to pursue a career as a freelance filmmaker. He dedicated his life to being a filmmaker. He loved analyzing films and TV shows and storytelling.
Oscar was a thoughtful, creative, talented, generous, dependable, and kind person that touched the lives of those around him. Oscar loved his friends and family, particularly his niece and nephew (whom he would spoil with many gifts and endless hours of attention). At the core of what made Oscar the happiest was a desire to make other people happy and allow them to have a good time. He would go to extensive lengths to make sure everyone was considered and taken care of, and that is what made him so well-loved.
Oscar had many hobbies and interests. In his spare time, he loved to cook (he was a hotpot fanatic), enjoyed collecting pop culture memorabilia (K-Pop, Lego, TV and movie mementos, to name a few), and liked to relax with a good cup of tea or playing board and video games with his friends.
He leaves behind his mother, Mei, his father, Simon, his sister, Amiee, his niece, Zoe, and his nephew, Zac
