Pablo B. Nuñez's Obituary
Pablo Nuñez Beltran was born in August 20, 1922, in Guayabastita, Sinaloa Mexico to Pablo Nuñez Rocha and Rosario Beltran Beltran. He had 2 sisters, Natalia and Aurora and two brothers that died when they were infants. His father passed away when he was three years old and he began working at the age of 12 to help support his mother. In 1951, he came to the United States to work under the bracero program. He worked several seasons picking up tomatoes and lettuce and later returned to Sinaloa. He moved to Tijuana working various jobs and later found an opportunity to work at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club as a gardener. In 1953, he met and married Soledad Arechiga in Tijuana, Mexico and they had 11 children. His strong and ambitious character led him to immigrate his family to San Diego in 1974. Pablo always talked about his experiences without describing them as hardships. Working hard and overcoming financial challenges were natural in his character. He was a very humble and giving person. He will always be remembered for his kindness and for the love he had for his children and family.Pablo passed away November 22, 2016 and is survived by his wife Soledad, 6 daughters, 5 sons, 25 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
