Parker "Tommy" Murray's Obituary
The Life Book of Parker Thomas Murray was opened July 26, 1946, when he was born to the union of Helen Parker-Murray and Floyd O. Murray in Blackburn, Missouri. He was the fourth of six children to this union. After graduating High School, he attended Barber college and was successful in that career for more than 10 years. In 1975 he moved to San Diego, California and began a career in banking holding many position’s including Vice President of Lincoln Mortgage Bank.Parker met and married the love of his life Ferrill Scott in 1984. They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1994, and began a most joyous life there for 10 years and once again moved back to California in 2004. Living in Moreno Valley for an additional 10 years where he held several position staying in the mortgage banking business. They returned to San Diego in 2014.Parker’s book closed and came to an end after a brief illness on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 10:39 am. Parker would have liked to stay, but God saw Parker was tired and had suffered in silence so much. God dispatched an Angel to bring him home. God told the Angel don’t worry about any clothes, just wrap him in your arms and bring him home.Parker had one son Aaron Murray who proceed him in death along with Parker’s parents and two older brothers James Arthur and Orville. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years; sister Maxine Johnson, of San Diego, California; brothers Wilbur Coy Murray of Austin, Texas; and Douglas Murray of Joplin, Missouri; daughter, Darla Williams, San Diego, California, and five grandchildren Ashley, Jordan and Tre Murray and Vernon and Vairee Mapp, and four great grandchildren. As the Parker’s family is very large he will leave a host of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his homecoming.Memorial Services to be held a Greenwood Memorial Park, Wednesday February 24,2016 at 10:00 am.Repass/Reception to follow at 1377 Wystone Drive, San Diego, Ca. 92113.
