Pat and I worked together in the VAST shop on the USS Enterprise during the 1978 cruise. We had a few things in common other than being in the Navy. Pat had an uncle who lived across the street from my grandfather in Russell Kansas. We also, both liked to do models in our spare time. In Hong Kong, he collected a few that you wouldn't normally find in the States. He was a great guy to work with.
Pat and I did a West Pac cruise on the Enterprise in 1978. He was a fine friend and a great role model. We had good times together and continued to work together after we returned to Miramar.
He loved children and enjoyed working with the youths to help them grow spiritually and emotionally.
He is missed by all his friends.
My grandfather was amazing. He was kind loving and funny. It has been an extremly hard time & I pray everyday he knew how much he was loved and hope he left this world in peace. I miss you so much but will always remember youas you were.
