I had Mr. Wright for Physics in 1966-1967. That class was so good that I went in to major in Physics in college. I have nothing but good memories of Mr. Wright. My buddies and I spoke of him often over the years. I believe that Mr. Wright was the last high school teacher who I had to still be alive. Sad. But his memory still brings me joy so in that respect he's still with me. Condolences to his family.
Mr. Wright was my physical science teacher at Crawford High School back in the '70's. His excellent instruction on J.J. Thompson helped me "ace" the ACT college entrance test in Science, where I received a higher score in that subject area than in my major- English!!! He was patient and kind and I have very fond memories of him. I went on to law and eventually teaching- which I hope that I do as good a job as an instructor, living up to the example that Mr. Wright set for me. I was a student in the Independent Studies program at Crawford High School. He was my teacher for chemistry and physics as well as my advisor. We referred to him as "Pa". He was always kind and helpful, offering advice and structure to a group of independent-minded students. I have fond memories of him and my time in I.S. I wish his family comfort.
