Paz Vale Cruz Rillo's Obituary
Paz Vale Cruz Rillo
July 2, 1930 – October 25, 2025
Paz Vale Cruz Rillo was born in Cavite City, Philippines, and passed away
peacefully surrounded by family. She was married to her beloved husband,
Salvador Lim Rillo, for over 70 years, and together they built a life filled with
love, faith, and devotion.
Paz was a Payroll Clerk for the City of San Diego, a Medical Assistant, and
earlier, a Teacher in the Philippines. A devout Catholic, she lived her faith
through prayer, generosity, and compassion. She was an active member of the
Cavite City Association of California, the Maragondong Association of
California, and the Los Chabacanos, proudly celebrating her Filipino heritage.
As the matriarch and heart of the Rillo family, Paz was strong, nurturing, and
always keeping everyone connected. She bravely left her homeland to create a
better future for her family in America, paving the way for generations to thrive.
She is survived by her children Sarah Grace Ruggera (Phil Ruggera) and
Annabelle Balaoing (Gil Balaoing), and was predeceased by her son Salvador
Rillo, Jr. (2017). Also surviving are her grandchildren Jaclyn (Mike Thompson),
Amanda (Jon Metz), Brian Balaoing, Rachel Paz Ruggera, and
great-granddaughter Jordan Metz.
We celebrate her life and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind
