Peggy Joyce Ferrell's Obituary
Peggy Joyce Ferrell passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Winter Garden, FL on Friday, December 16, 2022, surrounded by family. She was born on 5/8/1930 in Tulia, TX. Peggy was a loving and devoted wife to Hobart “Leon” Ferrell who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl, grandchildren Mark (Larissa) Dennstedt, Kelly Dennstedt, Michael (Samantha) Snowden, and great-grandsons Luke Dennstedt and Connor and Callan Snowden.
Peggy was loving, thoughtful, kind, and caring. People enjoyed being around her because she was quick-witted, could make people laugh, and had a way to make each person feel special. She worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles and made life-long friends there. Peggy loved life and was quite adventurous. She and Leon enjoyed boating, flying and RVing. You could say she saw the world in the air, on land, and sea. Peggy was devoted to her family and loved them deeply. She will be profoundly missed and her memory will be treasured forever.
Services will be held at Salli Lynn Chapel, Greenwood Mortuary on January 15th at 1:00pm, with viewing from 12:00-1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
