Qi Xuan Wei's Obituary
Qi Xuan Wei was born on October 5, 1930 in Rong An County, China. He was the first child of three, born to Mei Fang and Ding Gang Wei. Qi Xuan had the opportunity to leave home and attend a boarding school as a child, called the Air Force Academy Prep School. Later he also attended Guangzhou University in China.Qi Xuan had lived in various parts of China. He ended up dating a woman by the name of Mei Fang Tan, and asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in Beijing, China on October 10, 1959 just five days after his 29th birthday. And Beijing was were they settled for several years.As an adult, Qi Xuan spent about fourty years working as an Editor for the “Drama” magazine. After he retired, Qi Xuan focused on travelling with his wife, and enjoying his family and friends. To him… ALL of his friends were very special. He would regularly meet up with the alumni of the academy to catch up on life.Outgoing, optimistic, charming, and friendly are just some of the words given to describe Qi Xuan. He loved listening to Chinese pop songs, reading, and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Mei Fang Wei; his daughter Lucy Jiang (Brian); and his grandchildren, Lawrence and Colin Jiang.
