R. Michael Morgan's Obituary
R. Michael Morgan returned his life's collective energy and intelligence at sunrise on June 21, 2021. Michael had a thirst for the unknowable. Within himself, he was a seeker. To quote his own writings: "Be self-illuminating. Be both the match and the candle." He was a cerebralist, writer, racecar driver, master mechanic, artist, entrepreneur, and held a Doctorate in Psychology. Sharing his adventurer's spirit, he ensured he had no regrets of less than a full life lived in his 87 years. An unapologetically free and optimistic soul, he loved his friends and family deeply and was beloved by his wife, Susan, and family in return. He enjoyed sharing life skills, a love of exploration, willingness to learn from mistakes, and had a dad joke for every occasion. His ashes are interred at Greenwood Cemetery with the rest of his family in his forever home of San Diego, CA. His presence will be missed but his memories will be with us always.
