Celebrating the Life of Raul Garzón Tejeda
Raul was born on February 7, 1946 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico where he lived until he was 17 years old. He was the fourth of ten children. His parents were Raymundo Garzon Figueroa and Maria de la Luz Tejeda Rubalcava. He attended Midway High School where he met his beautiful wife, Maria Leticia. They were married on June 16, 1967. After graduation, he attended Nassco Welding School and began his career as a ship welder. He retired in 2008 after working for the company for thirty-six years. After retirement, he traveled with his wife Letty.
Raul’s hobbies included deep sea fishing and flying model airplanes. He was an avid soccer player and member of the United Soccer Club. His favorite soccer team was the Chivas! A man loved by all who knew him, he had many special friends. Raul was an incredible story teller who pulled you into his stories and made you laugh. He was honest, reliable, generous, loveable, and had a great sense of humor.
The most important events in his life were the day his children were born. A family man, he led by example and raised his children to have integrity and to be kind. He lived in Bonita, CA and is survived by his loving wife Leticia Garzon, two children Veronica Garzon-Bautista and Gilberto Gabriel Garzon, Five grandsons; Gilbert, Adrian, Angel, Diego, and Carlos, four grandchildren; Gilberto Raul, Abigail, AJ, and Gabriel Cylus. Raul leaves behind a legacy of Catholic faith, family unity, and love. .
