I remember Raymond as a dear friend. We met in Greenville, Mississippi in spring 1963 during technical training for the United States Air Force. I met his wonderful family in San Diego during the Christmas season later that year. That was the last time I saw Raymond. However, I saw a story about his heroism in the San Diego Police Department when he rescued an 82-year-old lady from a fire in 1970. I was not surprised. I remember Raymond as a kind, gentle man. I know he created a beautiful life and was a blessing to others. Family, I pray for your peace and comfort. Raymond, rest in peace. I will always remember you.
