Raymond Herrera's Obituary
Raymond Herrera, Ramona, California, passed away on a beautiful sunny, Sunday morning at 6:00AM on March 1, 2026. He graduated to Heaven and gained his wings. It brings us comfort to know he can now think clearly. No more Alzheimer’s and no more pain.
He was born July 16, 1932. He was 93 and a half years old and leaves behind three daughters, Pattie Burnell (spouse Larry Burnell), Teresa Stanley (spouse Mike Stanley) and Cathie Gebhart (who passed away at 56 years old from cancer). Raymond was married 46 years to Beatrice Duran before losing her battle to cancer. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Danielle Burnell Edwards (spouse Tony Edwards) Andrew Burnell (spouse Lorraine Kirkendall Burnell) Nicole Stanley (spouse Jason Van Hemert) , and Aaron Stanley (spouse JiHye Park Stanley). He also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren, Alex Edwards, Cheyenne Edwards, Brayden Edwards, Austen Burnell, Julian Burnell, Jacob Stanley Van Hemert, Caleb Stanley Van Hemert, Kaden Stanley Van Hemert, Elena Stanley and Anaiah Stanley.
He spent 20 years working in construction, and 25 plus years working as ground maintenance in the Lemon Grove School District. He was a gifted artist and guitarist, and loved singing as well. He will be remembered for his unending sense of humor, even in his memory loss.
The family plans a private family memorial with a trip to Disneyland, his favorite place to be.
