Raymond Paul Lickel's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Raymond Paul Lickel who passed on August 14, 2023.
Ray was born on June 1, 1958 in Boston Massachusetts. He was the 4th of 6 children of Raymond Paul Letourneau Sr. and Ellen Elizabeth Carroll. After graduation from Brockton High School, Ray pursued careers in Hospitality and Retail for almost 20 years.
After meeting his life partner and future husband, Charlie, at a piano bar in Binghamton NY he retired from industry and supported Charlie’s growing career and cared for their many home moves and raising their beloved dogs Princess, Little Bit and Tootles. He also took every opportunity to see his favorite artist Barbra Streisand in concert through the years.
Ray as an out proud gay man was thrilled when he could marry the love of his life.
He and Charles Lickel married as soon as it was legally recognized in NY on July 9, 2010 in Branford CT.
Even through life, Ray was amazingly loving, witty, selflessly generous and always courageous to the end.
