Mom, thank you so much for your unconditional love, guidance and for showing me the meaning of family loyalty. Your uplifting words always gave me strength through my hard times and I never felt alone because you always had my back. Thank you for all the prayers you prayed for me when I was in harms way overseas, I truly believe it was because of your love and prayers that I am here today safe and sound. You always made every home coming a special one and your patriotism was evident in the way you selflessly served my brothers and sisters in our Armed Forces and cared for their well being. Saying goodbye and letting you go was and is the hardest thing I have ever faced in this life but I knew you were tired and ready to move on to the hereafter and be with God in peace. It was honor and I'm so grateful I was able to hold your hand and tell you how much you are loved and to be at your side when you passed. Your memory will always live on in my heart. When you passed a piece of me went with you and now I will never be the same again. Now you are my "Guardian Angel" above and I long for the day I see your beautiful smile, hear your sweet voice and feel your loving embrace around me again. For it was your love that gave me life and made me who I am today. It is with a heavy heart I say farewell to the most beautiful woman I ever knew in my life, my Moma.
