Rene Contreras' Obituary
Rene Contreras was born in East Los Angeles, California, on August 31, 1976 and passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Rene was the 4th of 5 children born to Inocente and Consuelo Contreras. He grew up in San Diego and attended Southwest High School and Southwestern College where he played baseball and studied Business Administration. During the course of his life, Rene helped his family with their restaurants and later opened his own Mariscos Restaurant in Imperial Beach, CA named Marisa’s. He was married in 2012 to Evelyn Jimenez and
had his son (and greatest joy), Alessandro Mateo Contreras on September 8, 2011. Rene’s smile, joyful humor, zest for life, and love for his family will sorely be missed. He enjoyed cooking and hosting as he always wanted everyone to have a good time while in his presence. Rene is survived by his parents, wife, son, his sisters Lorena & Marisa, his brothers Humberto & Jesus, his nephew Christopher, and nieces Marisa, Jessica, Sasha, Sara, & Carolina. May he rest in eternal peace.
