Renee Cole's Obituary
Renee Calero Cole, 54 of San Diego California passed away on August 5, 2024.
Renee was born in San Diego, California on November 17, 1969 to Alfonso Felix Calero and Carmen Dolores Calero. She attended Mira Mesa High school and spent a few years at Mira Mar college studying before moving to Montana to be with the love of her life, Travis Cole.
Shortly after moving to Montana, Renee and Travis were married on September 28, 1996 and the following year were blessed with a son, Trey Ryan Cole. A couple of years later they were blessed once again with a daughter, Tayllor Renee Cole. She spent the next few years enjoying family life in Montana alongside Travis’s parents; Terry and Marcella Cole and Travis’s sister Kimbra Cole before moving to Idaho in 2004. For the next six years she enjoyed creating memories with her loving family and provided an idyllic childhood for her kids. She also spent time with her brother Rick, sister-in law Maria and their children Nathanyel and Jordan who lived close by.
Renee’s love for the beach inspired her and her family to move back to San Diego in 2010 where they continued building their lives. Renee was excited to reconnect with her roots and be near her sister Reina, her brothers Rick and Randy and her parents, Alfonso and Carmen. Renee was the sort of wife and mother who ran the household with love and tenacity all while maintaining a full-time career as a loan officer. She was one who could do it all; sew anything, make homemade meals, take care of the bills, provide unconditional love and support to her children, family and friends. Renee loved spending time with her family and friends whether it be Karaoke night, beach days, going to the movies, traveling or family dinners and celebrations. If it involved the people she loved or the color purple she was undoubtedly happy.
Renee developed an amazing bond with her two dogs, Kai and Alaska who brought unparalleled joy and companionship into her life. Their loyal presence and playful antics were a constant source of love and comfort. The bond and love they shared was felt by all who knew her.
When thinking about the kind of person Renee was she showed tremendous strength, courage and selflessness despite any struggles she faced. She loved her husband, children, friends and entire family fiercely and put everyone’s needs before her own. Renee leaves an undeniable legacy, having touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her warmth, kindness and compassion.
Renee is survived by her husband Travis Cole age 51 whom she cherished 28 years of marriage with. Her two children, Trey Cole age 27 and Tayllor Cole age 25 who have grown into incredible adults and undoubtedly miss their mother more than words can express. She was a daughter to Alfonso Calero (who passed away December 19, 2022) and Carmen Calero (her adoring mother). Renee was a sister to her three siblings and their spouses; Rick and Maria Calero, Randy and Candace Calero and Reina Calero. Renee cherished her relationship with her brothers and younger sister.
She is also survived by her in-laws; Terry and Marcella Cole, Kimbra Cole and Matt Swatski as well as her 7 nieces and nephews; Ricky Calero, Nathanyel Calero, Jordan Calero, Armando Paz, Jayden Calero, Jais Swatski, and Kara Swatski, all of whom she loved and adored.
