Rhonda Fay Berry's Obituary
Rhonda Fay Berry, 58, of San Diego, CA passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 in an automotive accident.Born on April 25, 1959 to parents Josephine Terrell and Ronald McClellan in San Diego, CA. As a youth, Rhonda was passionate about softball and her 14-15 year old girl team won the World Series. Rhonda went on to attended Mt. Miguel High School where she continued her passion of playing softball.In 1977, Rhonda was a construction labor for Local 89 and worked on building the UTC Skating Center in La Jolla, CA. This is where she met her soon-to-be husband Earl Gene Berry Jr. It was at this construction site, where Gene first invited Rhonda to their first date of miniature golf. Gene and Rhonda married on December 16, 1978.Rhonda was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses in the Fall of 1981 which took place through a full-body emersion. It was on this day, that Rhonda dedicated her life to Jehovah. Her greatest accomplishment was the privilege of Pioneering full-time for an entire year.Above all else, Rhonda loved her family and spent as much time with her grandchildren as possible. Rhonda found joy in cooking for her family. Among her favorite dishes included potato salad, tamale pie and traditional cheese cake.Rhonda is survived by her husband Gene Berry Jr., sister Debbie Thrall-Birch, brothers Ron McClellan and Brian Terrell, son Gene Berry III and wife Trini Berry, daughters Rebekah Deann Berry, Jessica Majalca and Cameron Majalca, and grandchildren Aleena Ballard, Ernie Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Olivya Berry, Mia and Antony Jr. MercadoMemorial Service will be at 10:30 am on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Salli Lynn Chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park 4300 Imperial Avenue San Diego, CA 92113.
