Richard "Richie" J. Fiorita's Obituary
Richard James Fiorita Jr, better known as “Richie”, was born on September 12, 1965 in San Diego, California. He was the younger of two children born to Richard Sr. and Evelyn Fiorita and has pretty much lived in El Cajon his entire life. He attended Robert E. Lee Elementary, Bell Junior High, Morse High School, and then Grossmont Community College. He began a career with E. B. Bradley in the Shipping Department, and later moved into their Purchaseing Department where he flourished, ordering their cabinet hardware.Richie was an intelligent and dependable person. His thoughtful and caring attitude was evident on the way he treated others. He was also very organized with his way of doing things. Some of his favorite things to do were collecting Coca Cola items, and going to the San Diego Zoo where he adopted a giraffe and a polar bear. As a person who loved animals, he also loved visiting Sea World. Richie’s favorite songs were from Dolly Parton and Elton John. The special people in his life have been his sister Dorothy and her husband Del Kingsley; his nephew Preston Kinglsey and his wife Linda; Joy Summers; Marilyn Ekstrand; and Sue Herbert.He passed away on October 26, 2015 at his home in El Cajon. He will be missed by all who knew him!
