Richard “Camote” Martinez was born on November 20, 1930 to Refugio Martinez and Erlinda Lujan
Richard passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 90, with two of his grandsons by his side.
Richard was an electrician at MCRD military base for 38 years. Most would say he was one of the best, if not the best in his field.
Richard leaves behind to cherish his beloved memory his wife of 35 years Hermelinda Martinez, his daughter Julie Martinez, 4 grandchildren, Celso, Jennifer “Nena”, Richard and Alejandro, 5 great grandchildren Ciarra, Jocelyn, Dezi, Richard and Dominic and 1 great grand pup. His brother John Martinez and sister Irene Young and many beloved family and friends.
Richard was a proud member of the “Fraternal Order of Eagles” #2712 & #244 even serving as President.
Ricard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
