Richard Benjamin Ponse's Obituary
Richard Benjamin “Dick” Ponse, 90, passed away peacefully at his granddaughter’s home on July 16th, 2019 with his family by his side after a brief illness. Born June 7, 1929 in San Diego, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years JoAn, his son Bradley, and his parents. He is survived by his second wife Pura Marquez, daughters Jenifer Ponse-Mendoza and Lisa Fulton (Cedrick), sisters Alice “Dee Dee” Meyers and Gloria Schmoegger, grandchildren Jaime Ponse-Linville (Shawn), Richard B. Ponse Jr. (Ashlee), Michael Mendoza (Tahirah), Bradley Fulton, David Ponse-Mendoza, Eric Fulton (Rasha), and Kathleen Ponse-Mendoza; ten great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and friends, and his special friends at “the coffee shop”. He attended Kearney High School (1948) and served in the United States Air Force. He worked at General Dynamics for 35 years and retired as a supervisor in Facilities Management. He will be buried in the family plot at the Garden of Hope, Greenwood Memorial Park & Mortuary. At his request there will be no services.
