RJ Casale's Obituary
RJ Casale, age 82, passed away at his home in El Cajon on January 5, 2018. He spent his final days surrounded by those who loved him most. He was born on June 27, 1935 in New York to John and Elsie Casale. He grew up in Verona, NJ with his parents and big brother Bob. After high school RJ moved to the near perfect climate of Southern California and never left. San Diego has been his home for more than 50 years with the last 45 of them in El Cajon. RJ loved being his own boss and often joked that although he could not spell entrepreneur that was what he was born to be. He founded the RJ Casale Real Estate Company and bought and sold apartment buildings all over the country. RJ was a man full of energy and passion and did all things with excellence. He enjoyed collecting antique cars, antique nautical equipment, antique bikes, and watches. But mostly he enjoyed time with his 2 daughters (Amy and Lisa), son-in-law (Hayes), 6 grandchildren (Olivia, Paul, Daley, Lily, Cady, and Sofia), girlfriend Judi, friends, a large and lovable extended family, and long Sunday motorcycle rides. A funeral will be held to honor and remember this remarkable man on Tuesday, January 16 at 10:00 am at Mission San Diego de Alcala.
